Six - Business

 

The number 6 represents wealth, therefore it was considered good for business.

“Six” has given great importance in the life of Chinese. The ancient Chinese were very used to organize information into six criteria.

 

Six Direction: The universe (east, west, north, south, heaven and earth).

六合: 天地四方

 

Six methods of forming Chinese Character: Self-explanatory characters, pictographs, pictophonetic characters, associative compounds, mutually explanatory charcters and phonetic loan characters)

六書: 指事、象形、形聲、會意、轉注、假借

 

Six Crops: Rice, spike, millet, pulse wheat, glutinous millet and common millet

六穀:稻、黍、稷、粱、麥、菽
